Fundraising is underway!
  Thank you to those who have posted your online fundraising profile and those of you who have been using Ride for Sight donor books to gather donations. Remember, every little bit helps to bring us that much closer to finding a cure for blindness. If you have yet to do so, please access our online fundraising to see how easy and simple it is to get started! We are just over the $60,000.00 mark in online donations so far, and we are hopeful that we can reach our 2008 goal of $200,000.00! We truly feel confident that we can get there with your continued support - Let’s make 2008 the most successful fundraising year to date!

A Rider's Story

  Last year, I attended my first Ride for Sight. I live in Churchill Falls, NL, the Labrador portion of the Province so I had a long ride ahead of me to get to Gander, NL.

My trip started on June 16, I had my daughter drive me approximately 600 km. just to get to pavement. From there I rode through Quebec's north and south shore, through New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and on to Newfoundland.

Ride for Sight is held in Gander, NL. every year and by the time I had arrived in Gander I had logged 2440 km. But it was all worth the ride as I am a member of the Northern Stars Motorcycle Club and it was my first time getting together with other members. I think the Ride for Sight is a very worthy cause and will continue to support it.
2007 was Stan’s first year participating in Ride for Sight and earned ‘High Miler’ status, raising $1857!
